Job Summary: We are seeking a creative and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate at Griffy’s Art Supply. The ideal candidate has a passion for the arts, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers, maintaining the store's visual appeal, and contributing to the overall success of Griffy’s.

 

At this time we’re looking for temporary help from March 1 - June 1 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Customer Service:

Greet and assist customers in a friendly and approachable manner. Provide expert guidance on art supplies, materials, and techniques. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide product recommendations. Ensure an enjoyable and informative shopping experience for all customers.

 

Sales and Product Knowledge:

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of art supplies and products in the store. Actively engage customers to identify their needs and recommend suitable products. Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system. Upsell and cross-sell relevant products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.

 

Store Maintenance:

Ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and visually appealing. Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs to management. Participate in regular store cleaning and maintenance activities.

 

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with fellow team members to achieve sales targets. Communicate effectively with colleagues and management regarding customer feedback, inventory, and other relevant information.

 

Compliance and Security:

Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Assist in preventing theft and unauthorized access through vigilant observation.

 

Qualifications:

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred. Passion for and knowledge of art supplies, crafting, or related fields. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand and move for extended periods.
